At the 100th anniversary of the birth of Einstein’s general theory of relativity, the “2016 Future Forum for Human Cognition of the New Century” invited global elites and experts from various sectors of society to jointly discuss how to better develop technologies and share thoughts on new concepts. The forum not only brought together Li Yanhong, Yang Yuanqing, Ding Jian, Zhang Lei and other scientists and elites from the internet and investment industries, and also was able to invite Yang Zhenning, a Nobel prize winner in physics, Rao Yi, the former dean of the School of Life Sciences of Peking University, a professor of Peking University and a member of the scientist committee of the Future Forum, Shi Yigong, vice principal of Tsinghua University and dean of the School of Life Sciences, Wang Xiaodong, director of the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing, Peter Worden, research director of the NASA Ames Research Center, Cedric Villani, a French mathematician, and other top domestic and foreign scientists to share their insights. Also involved were well-known local and foreign enterprises such as Infiniti and KPMG. In addition, two popular VR devices, a time travel flying seat and an omni-directional entertainment treadmill, were showcased by Chongdong Technology in the exhibition hall. The large-scale forum attracted more than 1,000 participants.
